Back when I was nannying (one of the best jobs ever, by the way), my nanny family found an awesome recipe for SLIME.
So, during a particularly drizzly stay-inside-alllllll-day type of week, we made slime! And it was so much fun.
(I may or may not have had just as great a time squeezing the oozy goodness through my fingers as did the kiddos.)
And take heart, all you parents who hear the word “slime” and immediately cringe when you think about the ensuing mess – this recipe is EASY!
I know. You don’t believe me. But do.
Here is the link you can follow for Homemade Slime, which is where you will find the detailed instructions to create it.
You’ll need the following few ingredients: (I told you! It’s easy!)
- Elmer’s glue*
- Borax (found in laundry detergent aisle)
- Food Coloring
*we used Elmer’s glitter glue and it was a great decision. 🙂
Here is what it comes out looking like:
After you make the slime, then clearly you will spend hours figuring out different ways to make a giant blob take over a city of action figures 😉
